As a valuable member of the interior design team, I played a pivotal role in the extension of Westfield Riccarton Shopping Centre in Christchurch. My responsibilities spanned various facets of the project, contributing to the overall enhancement of the shopping experience.
My primary focus was on the meticulous layout design, ensuring a seamless integration of the extension with the existing structure. I led the selection process for mall furniture, carefully curating pieces that not only complemented the aesthetic but also prioritized functionality and comfort for shoppers.
In addition to layout and furniture selection, I took charge of designing the flooring and determining the color scheme for both public areas and the café court. This involved a keen understanding of the spatial dynamics and the creation of an atmosphere that resonated with the shopping center's brand and ambiance.
A significant part of my role included the preparation of the Creative Design Package, a comprehensive presentation that encapsulated the vision for the extension. This package served as a visual and conceptual guide, showcasing the proposed design elements and capturing the essence of the enhanced shopping environment.
Furthermore, I meticulously handled the documentation phase, ensuring that every detail of the design was accurately represented for presentation and implementation. This involved collaboration with various stakeholders to guarantee alignment with project objectives and specifications.
Through my contributions, the Westfield Riccarton Shopping Centre extension emerged as a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and an elevated shopping experience.
