In my role contributing to the transformation of the School of Engineering, Computer, and Mathematical Sciences at AUT, I collaborated on the design of a cutting-edge, energy-efficient building. The structure is a dynamic composition, featuring a 12-storey tower, a 5-storey podium, and two double-height teaching research workshops and laboratories.

Working closely with the architect, my focus was on cultivating engaging and versatile multi-use pocket spaces within the public areas, specifically tailored to enrich the student experience. Each space was meticulously crafted to encourage collaboration, innovation, and a sense of community among students.

One distinctive feature of the project involved infusing vibrant colors on each level. This deliberate choice aimed not only to add a visual vibrancy to the environment but also to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The color scheme was thoughtfully selected to brighten up the spaces, fostering a positive and dynamic ambiance throughout the building.

The result is a forward-thinking educational facility that goes beyond traditional design boundaries. The diverse and vibrant pockets of space contribute to the overall sense of community, creating an environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
